ESTABLISHED IN 1980
In 1980, Brock Lasso laid the foundation for what would become CHART when he incorporated the company. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, CHART concentrated its efforts on commercial and residential construction, leaving a mark by building numerous custom homes in Waterloo and Conestoga. As the years progressed into the 2000s, there was a notable shift towards major residential renovations, with Brock carrying out a sizable amount of home inspections. Corey Lasso, having spent his summers laboring alongside the CHART team, gradually assumed a more integral role within the company, starting as a general laborer and junior carpenter.
In 2013, following his studies in Architectural Construction Engineering and gaining experience with a builder in Muskoka, Corey joined the CHART team full-time. By 2015, Corey Lasso had gained the position of partner, steering CHART towards a new vision. With a focus on elevating the company's reputation to that of a high-end Design/Build firm, Corey implemented innovative technologies while maintaining the personalized approach instilled by his father. Fast forward to 2023, Corey gained full ownership of the company, accompanied by a comprehensive rebranding effort, as his father Brock retired, marking a seamless transition into a new era for CHART. Corey continues his efforts to holding the spot as Waterloo Region’s leading Design/Building renovator and builder.
